My Story

My name is Erika Quesada and I am the owner of Konfections by Kita. You might be wondering, who's Kita? Well, Kita is my nickname and when starting my business, it only felt right to incorporate it into the name.

 

For years, before starting my business, I would bake for fun, never taking it too seriously! I also worked two different bakery positions, which helped me develop some fundamental skills. I'm grateful for what those taught me. Ultimately, I ended up leaving those jobs, and entered into Banking!

A little while down the line, someone incredibly kind commented on my baking skills and creativity and planted a seed in my brain about futher pursuing this hobby.

Jump to Summer of 2023, I took all the steps to officially form my home-bakery business. This was a huge accomplishment and the support I received was unreal.

Here we are in 2025, and I'm now working full time in Commercial Banking and spending my free time pouring my heart into this business. And I wouldn't have it any other way! It has been an amazing couple of years, full of learning and sharing my passion with my community!
